India won the series with an outstanding 4th T20 against South Africa in 2024

Cricket fans around the world witnessed a spectacular display of skills and dominance as India faced South Africa in the fourth T20 Internationals at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on the 15th of November 2024. India was already leading the series with 2 - 1.

India won the toss and chose to bat first because they were prolific in the power play. The opening partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson was 73 runs in 35 balls, and then Abhishek Sharma's wicket fell.

Then came the inform left hand batsman Tilak Varma. Now both the batsmen were dealing in sixes and fours. Both of them completed their century in no time, Sanju Samson played the maiden inning of 109 runs in just 56 balls with 9 sixes and 6 fours and Tilak Varma played a spectacular inning of 120 runs in just 47 balls with 10 sixes and 9 fours. They had a record-breaking partnership of 210 runs in just 86 balls. India made 283 and lost just one wicket in their 20 overs.

South Africa had to chase 284 runs in their 20 overs. Early wickets broke the confidence of the South African fans, then came the partnership between Tristan Stubbs and David Miller of 86 runs in 54 balls which brought some hope in the South African fans, but that didn’t last for long Chakravarthy with his magic ball took the wicket of David Miller. South Africa only managed to score 148 runs.

India won the match with a massive margin of 135 runs. The fourth T20 international will be remembered as a game where records were broken. Both the player of the match and player of the series were given to Tilak Varma for his outstanding performance throughout the series. By this India won the series 4 - 1 showcasing their dominance in the T20 International.
